Aaron was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 06, 1946. He was the first born to Quentin Oral Mounts and Mary C. (nee) DeWitt. There would be three other children: Beverly, Tari and brother Jessie.
October, 1965 to July, 1967
Aaron was a Service Member of the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He loved the Country, the people and the culture and maintained a life-long craving for Korean cuisine.
May, 1972
Aaron moved to Detroit, Michigan from Springfield, Ohio. He would live in Detroit for another 25 years. Aaron attended a Community College and later Wayne State University where he earned a degree in Mortuary Science. Aaron later worked for Mueller's Funeral Home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Later, Aaron worked in Security and Art Handling at the Detroit Institute of Art and as a Security Officer for the Detroit Water Board.
August 6, 1981
Officially, Quentin O. Mounts, Jr. becomes Aaron Q. Hoffer after a legal name change in the State of Michigan. Aaron selected the surname Hoffer in honor of his maternal grandmother.
October, 1995
Aaron and Mark met at the Eagle in Exile bar in Columbus, Ohio. Aaron, the "Alpha" of the Wolf Pack of Detroit, was in town with the wolves at a charity fund raising night at the bar. Within six months, the two were united as life partners.
1996 May 11
Aaron Hoffer and Mark Shrader were united as life partners in Columbus, Ohio. They received that blessing from the Reverend Kenneth Netz (Unitarian-Universalist) in a service of Episcopal liturgy and Communion.

Aaron and Mark sailed The Carribbean with friends on December 4, 2004
2006
Aaron left us on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2006 in North Miami, Florida.
Memorial
A Celebration of Aaron's life was held on December 09, 2006 at Saint Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dublin, Ohio.
